Mary Pat "Pooh" Sauers, 69, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born on June 9, 1946, in Tiffin, Ohio, to John Robert and Mary L. (Hoffman) Hart. On March 7, 1970 in Bloomville, she married Herbert Sauers and he preceded her in death on Mach 11, 1975.

Survivors include her son, John (Michelle) Sauers of Republic; three grandchildren, Caitlin Nicole, Lauren Elizabeth and Nathan John Sauers; four brothers, Mike (Joyce) Hart, Joe (Sue) Hart, John Hart and Dick (Anne) Hart, all of Tiffin; one sister, Sue Stine of Tiffin; and stepdaughter, Cheri (Bob) Williams.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sandi Hart and Carolyn (Joe) Perna; an infant brother, and sister-in-law, Ruth Hart.

Pooh graduated in 1964 from Tiffin Calvert High School and started working at Floom & Fleck for ten years. She also bartended at Cabaret Bar for 18 years and worked at Owens Corning for eight years before retiring in 2010. Her greatest pleasure later in life was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play sports for Seneca East School.

She was an avid fan of Notre Dame, Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Braves and Jeff Gordon and she was an avid golfer and bowled for many years.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 and an hour prior to the Service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T., St. Mary Catholic Church, Seneca East High School or to Calvert Catholic Schools.
