Mary Catherine Shaver, 94, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, June 14, 2008 at her residence.

On August 8, 1913 she was born to Frank and Anna Rose (Seebon) Wank. August 2, 1933 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church she married Harold L. Shaver.

Mary is survived by two sons, James H. (Roberta) Shaver and Thomas (Becky) Shaver both of Tiffin; four daughters, Patricia (Joseph) Darr of Wheat Ridge, CO; Kathleen (Richard) Hosang of Attica; Peg ( Claude) Wood of Meeker, CO; Sandra (John) Schultz of Tiffin, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a sister, Loretta Hemminger of Alvada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold of over 60 years, and brother, Norman Wank.

Mrs. Shaver was a 1932 graduate of St. Wendelin Catholic High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. Mary was a member of Daughter's of Isabella, enjoyed gardening, farming, cooking and was known for her homemade noodles and pies. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with her husband.

A Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Timothy Ferris officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 from 4-8 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral omeHomeHhhhhhhisdiudbuibuivub Home. A Christian wake service will be Tuesday at 7:45 PM.
