Michael (Mike) A. Elchert ,59, of Republic passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024 in Cleveland Clinic Hospital.

Mike was born to Ronald (Ronnie) Elchert and Mary Jo (Fate) Elchert on December 18, 1964.

Mike spent many years building his business Elchert's Lawn Mowing/Snow Removal Ltd. He enjoyed being outside doing work, whether it was on the job or off. You could always find him in a piece of machinery. He enjoyed farming, driving his truck around town and mowing, but his favorite thing to do was plowing snow in his tractor! Some of Mike's other hobbies included taking his family on little adventures, getting breakfast with his buddies, swimming in his pool, and hunting.

Mike is survived by his parents Ronnie and Mary Jo Elchert, fiancé Patty McCartin, two daughters Niki Elchert (Marcus Pauley), and Molly Pauley, and two grandsons Payton and Paxton Pauley all of Republic. A sister Susie (Ray) Wickham of Tiffin, and two nieces Bridget Elchert of Cleveland and Rachel Wickham (Sebastian Williams) of West Virginia.

His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 24, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass.
