Michael Anthony "Mike" Immele, 62, of Pinekirk Care Center, Kirkersville, formerly of Tiffin, died Sunday morning, January 25, 2009 at Licking Memorial Hospital, in Newark.
February 7, 1946 he was born in Tiffin, to Arthur C. and Marian B. (Kamp) Immele.
Survivors include his father Arthur of Tiffin, sisters, Margaret "Peg" (Ed) Murphy of Bluffton, Martha (Ernie) Boyer of Lima, brother Robert "Bob" Immele of Glendale, AZ, brother-in-law Kandy Cameron, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his mother Marian, sisters Marilyn J. Hill and Elizabeth M. Cameron, and sister-in-law Lillian Immele.
Mike was a 1964 graduate of Calvert High School and Broadcasting School in Chicago and was a former broadcaster for WFRO radio station in Fremont. He was business manager for Immele Brothers Plumbing and Heating. He enjoyed playing cards and calling Bingo in his nursing home.
A Mass of Christian burial is 10AM, Monday, February 2, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family, 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St. Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian wake service will be 4:00pm, Sunday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Red Cross, Calvert Catholic Schools or St. Joseph Church Building Fund.
