Michael D. Walland, 56, of Tiffin, passed away, Sunday, March 11, 2012, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

On October 22, 1955 in Tiffin, he was born to William and Lois (VanCamp) Walland and they preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, Mark Walland of Tiffin; daughters, Michelle and Mindy Walland both of Tiffin; brothers, William (Edwina) Walland of Tiffin; Charles (Lisa) Walland of Tiffin; Joseph Walland of Bettsville; sisters, Rebecca Burkett of Tiffin; Catherine (Richard) Coleman of Ardmore, OK; three grandchildren, DaShawn and DaZarias Russell and Gevaeh Gutierrez.

Michael was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and attended Tiffin Columbian and Terra State Community College. He worked at MTD in Willard for years and enjoyed drawing, pottery, nature walks and volunteering at St. Paul Ecumenical Sharing Kitchen, Franciscan Earth Literacy Center and St. Francis Spirituality Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorials may be made to the St. Francis Earth Literacy Center.
