Mildred A. "Millie" Reiter, 81, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, July12, 2010 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

On November 14, 1928 in Fostoria, she was born to John Charles and Laila B. (Warrington) Trausch Jr. She married Elmer L. Reiter on September 29, 1953 at Ladd Air Force Base Catholic Chapel in Fairbanks Alaska.

Survivors include three sons, David R. (Kathy) Reiter of Eagle, NE; Michael A. Reiter of Jackson, MI; James L. Reiter of Alvada; five grandchildren, Steven, Matthew, Bradley, Robert, Ashley; a great-granddaughter, Nicole; brother, William Trausch of Tiffin; and former daughter in law, Connie Reiter of Fostoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 33 years, Elmer, on November 20, 1986, brother, Richard Trausch and close friend, Mark A. Elchert Sr.

Millie was a graduate of Fostoria High School and worked many years at the high school as a cashier and in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Green Springs VFW Post 6067 Auxiliary, former member of Fostoria Eagles 430 Auxiliary and Fostoria Moose Lodge 1567. She enjoyed playing BINGO, cards, knitting and playing the piano with her great granddaughter.

Her funeral service will be Friday, July 16, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, 419-447-2424, with Rev. Frank Murd officiating. Burial will follow in St. Wendelin Cemetery in Fostoria.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 4-8 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home.
