Nancy Ellen Ohler, 65, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday morning, September 26, 2013 peacefully at her home after a lifetime battle of diabetes.
She was born on May 24, 1948, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Dorence and Mary Lillian (Austin) Kaye. She later married Danny Ohler and they then divorced.
Survivors include her sister, Marianne (Bill) Heine, of Delton, MI; 3 close nieces, Michele "Mickey" Simpkins, Margie (Tony) White, Patti (Pat) Kimmerly; 2 nephews, Bill Heine, Richard Robich; and many more nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews; special friend and nephew David Cheney who was like the son she never had .
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Richard Kaye; and sister, Jean Harrington.
Nancy was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Fostoria Aerie Eagles #430 and was a recovering alcoholic, who attended Fostoria Dryhave AA meetings. She enjoyed gardening, indoor plants, and cared for people dearly. The family would also like to give the friends, caregivers, and family who took care of Nancy before she passed a special thanks.
There will be no visitation or funeral services at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, Fostoria Dryhaven Alcoholics Anonymous, or Fostoria Eagles.
