Nancy J. Owen, 75, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday evening, March 21, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on June 1, 1936, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Ralph and Alice (Michaels) Magers. On April 20, 1968, she married Garold Owen.

Survivors include her husband, Garold; three daughters, Carol (Brian) Kern of Tiffin, Ohio, Judy Owen of Syracuse, NY, Debi (Randy) Nichols of New Riegel, Ohio; three brothers, Ralph "Jack" (Janice) Magers and Michael (Juanita) Magers, both of Tiffin, Ohio, and Russell (Betsy) Magers of Attica, Ohio; one sister, Ruth (Howard) Meisner of Tiffin, Ohio; brother-in-law, John "Jake" Benner of Fremont, Ohio; sister-in-law, Rosemary Magers of Tiffin, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Mason, Jacob and Natalie Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frank and Leroy Magers; and two sisters, Mary Louise "Weaze" Philipp and Joanne Benner.

Nancy graduated from Tiffin Calvert High School in 1954 and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She worked at Ohio Bell for 13 years and at Heinz in Fremont, Ohio. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #6067 in Green Springs, Ohio, the Women of the Moose #1001 and Autumnwood Auxiliary. She volunteered at Commission on Aging and at Bingo. Nancy loved spending time with her family, especially playing with her grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Garden Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 6-9:00 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake service will begin at 5:45 P.M.
