Naomi Jane Kear, 91, of Tiffin, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

September 15, 1917, she was born in Defiance to Michael and Lillian (Devor) Birkmire. She married Ralph O. Kear in 1936.

Survivors include three sons, Edward (Donna) Kear of Forney, TX, Thomas Kear and Steve Kear, both of Tiffin, a daughter-in-law, Shirley Kear of Tiffin, eight grandchildren, Micki (Mark) Tusing, Vicki (Jason) Wickham, Jim (Ann) Kear, all of Tiffin, Sarah Kear, Seth Kear both of MI, Jeff Kear, Patty Kear both of TX, David Kear of NY, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband, Ralph in 1965, are a son, Charles 'Chuck' Kear in 1980, three brothers, a sister, and a grandson, Timothy O. Kear in 2003.

Naomi retired from General Electric in 1982 and was a member of GEWOTS. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Grandmothers Club and enjoyed reading.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home with Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Burial will follow in with Fairmont Cemetery.
