Nina M. Shireman, 93, of Rossville, Indiana and formerly of Tiffin, passed away on Ascension Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Milner Community Health Care Center.

She was born on August 8, 1920, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Paul and Antoinette (Perna) Panuto. On November 17, 1945, she married Paul W. Shireman and he preceded her in death in 1990.

Survivors include her two sons and daughter in laws, Paul (Phyllis) Shireman of Lafayette, Indiana and Mark (Jean) Shireman of Toledo, Ohio; 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Carmella Hufford of Tiffin and Rosemary (Paul) Cruetz of Walbridge; Sister-in-law, Mary Panuto of Tiffin; 4 grandchildren, John, Joe, Stephanie and Monica; and two great grandchildren, Gabriel and Sebastian.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; 2 brothers and their spouses, Joe and Jackie Panuto and Dominic and Marge Panuto; brother, John Panuto; brother-in-law, Jack Hufford and sister and brother-in-law, Conghetti (Karl) Kerschner of Tiffin.

Nina graduated in 1939 from Tiffin Calvert High School and retired as an office manager from Tiffin Foundry in 1982 after 17 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the altar rosary society.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
