Nina Catherine Turner, 86, formerly of Kiwanis Manor, passed away Saturday evening, May 8, 2010 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
On November 8, 1923 in Tiffin, she was born to Dominic and Dedora (Patuto) Vadala.
Survivors include a son, Ralph (Paula Bird) Turner Jr. of Tiffin; daughters, Mary Jane (Darnell) Dawkins of Columbus; Carol (Tom) McGannon of Wheeling, WV; sisters, Theresa Stofer and Helen Sherman both of Tiffin; 2 grandchildren, Michael (Kimberly) McGannon and Jennifer McGannon of Wheeling; 1 great grandchild, Jack McGannon and 4 step grandchildren, Denise, Yvette, Darnell and Darren Dawkins all of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Samuel Vadala and sisters, Angela Hull, Carmello "Molly" Cardovado and Mary Mission.
Nina was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Legion of Mary and the Rosary Altar Society. She was an assembler at Webster Manufacturing and worked at Fry Foods, Mercy Tiffin Hospital and American Clay. Nina enjoyed bowling, bingo and listening to the radio.
A mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
A private visitation was held for the family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.
