Nita Maria Doran entered eternal rest on Monday, August 1, 2016, surrounded by her loving husband, mother, sister, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nita was born in Tiffin, Ohio on March 28, 1947 to Clifford P. Adams and Maria (Nagels) Adams.
Nita is survived by her mother Maria Adams of Tiffin, husband Robert "Bob" E. Doran of Tiffin, sister Jeannine Curns of Tiffin, sister-in-law Ginny Adams of Lisbon, daughters Tami Kirian of Tampa, FL, Angela Bour of Tiffin and Trisha (Ryan) Fair of Bowling Green, her grandchildren Maria Aller, Alexis Kirian, Adam Aller, Abby Aller, Aubrey Bour, Ronald P. Bour, Kaleb Fair, Kaylee Fair, (her special nurse) Paige Pitchford, and great-grandchildren Hayden, Carson, Chloye, Marques, Aria, Carrena, and Easton, along with Uncle and Aunt Kenneth and Peg Ward, her nieces and nephew, and immediate family from her mother's home town of Antwerp, Belgium, Carina (Philip), Cynthia (Ives), Dustin, Nesta and Tiejnzo.
Preceeding her death included her father Clifford P. Adams, brother Clifford F. Adams, brother-in-law Richard Curns, her Belgium aunt and uncle, Henry and Maria Nagels, her great-grandson Braxton and loving aunts and uncles of Tiffin.
She and Bob were married in Tiffin on August 12, 1977, and lived a life full of joy much attributed to the many friends they shared. Many memories were made at the bowling alley, golf courses (where Bob and Nita met) and the Eagles and Moose, where they both were members. Bob and Nita also shared their love of country line dancing as part of the Boot Scooters.
Nita graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1965. She was employed at General Electric and retired as the International Sales Secretary at Noba Bull Farm after almost 40 years.
Nita's lights of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, while providing special care to Paige and Chloye. She was an avid golfer and local club champion for many years. Nita was a talented knitter, taught by her loving mother, she loved shark tooth hunting on Florida beaches and strolling the Carolina beaches between golf games. Her summers were spent with family around her parent's swimming pool and rooting for the Cleveland Indians.
A memorial ceremony will be held at Faith United Methodist Church, 75 N. Sandusky St. Tiffin at 3:00pm, Friday August 5, 2016. The family will be receiving friends and family at 1:00pm prior to the service. A celebration of life will follow from 4:30-8pm at the Tiffin Moose Lodge, 1146 N. SR 53, Tiffin.
Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
