Norma Jean Bird, 61, formerly of Apple Street, passed away Friday evening, May 7, 2010 at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.
On January 23, 1949 in Tiffin, she was born to Martin White Eagle and Rachel Pauline (Whitmer) Bird Jr.
Survivors include her mother, Pauline of Tiffin; brothers, Ronald E. (Mary Ann) Bird and Richard W. (Bonnie) Bird both of Tiffin; sisters, Claudia E. (Michael) Scholl of Tiffin; Paula E.(Ralph Turner Jr,) Bird of Tiffin; Alana M. (Michael) Burton of Old Fort; an aunt, Margaret Metcalf of Tiffin; many cousins, nieces and nephews. and her cats.
She was preceded in death by her father, Martin and twin infant sisters, Virginia and Ann Bird in 1944.
Norma Jean was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a 1969 graduate of the Seneca County School of Opportunity. She was an Elvis fan and enjoyed photography. She will always be remembered as a prankster.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jan Kucera officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 11-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca County School of Opportunity, Community Hospice Care or to the Good Shepherd Home.
