Olen H. Pence, Jr. "Junior", passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024  and there was the biggest celebration as Junior joined his mom and dad, Olen and Fern Pence; his brothers, Bus, Ronnie and Chuck; his sisters, Jean and Judy, along with so many other loved ones.  His sisters had all of his favorite foods prepared and the cards were laid out and ready to play.

If you had met "Uncle Junior", as all of his nieces and nephews called him, you would not forget him.  He was such a kind, caring, compassionate, and giving person who had the biggest heart.  He told the best stories, shared great memories and shared love and laughter wherever he was.

He loved watching CNN, staying up with the local news, Nascar, the Guardians, and was looking forward to watching the upcoming debate.

Olen had nine siblings, Paul Pence, Richard Pence, Ronald Pence, Jean "Gillett" Mann, Cintra Eschenbrenner, Barbara Gatton, Judy Bernard, Sharon Mitchell and Charles Pence.

He, along with five other siblings, was proud to serve in the Armed Services.  He served in the Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Korea.

Coming from such a large family, it is hard to list all of his nieces and nephews, but he loved them all.

A Private Graveside Service will be held in the Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Humane Society of Seneca County.

We would like to thank his special friend, Betsy for bringing so much laughter and joy to his life and helping him enjoy his last years.
