Obituary

After spending the day along the shores of Lake Erie and enjoying an evening of dinner and drinks with her husband of 65 years, Patricia Ann Schreiner passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home with her husband by her side, on the evening of Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

Born November 29, 1939, Patricia "Patty" Schreiner used her effervescent spirit and tender heart to leave an indelible mark on the world. Patty met the love of her life, Joseph "Joe" Schreiner, at the age of 14. She graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1957 and married Joe shortly after on June 29, 1957.  She was a devoted member of Faith United Methodist Church.

When not busy raising her two children, Patty worked at The Candlelight, Sears, and the Tiffin City Schools Administration building, from which she retired. An avid boater, she spent decades co-captaining the Treeka as she and Joe navigated the waters of Lake Erie. She also enjoyed vacationing in Florida and lavishing affection on her loved ones. She was a proud member of the Middle Bass Island Yacht Club and an active participant in the Tiffin Women in Action Y-Wives. In their grief, those who loved her remember the times they shared, from the splotches of coral-colored lipstick she inevitably left on your cheek when she pulled you in for a kiss to the rounds of Christmas Bingo during which both her waning vision and her liberal consumption of white wine made her a less-than-ideal candidate to read the numbered balls. The lives of those she touched will be forever changed for the better.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Schreiner, her children Jim (Joann) Schreiner and Deb (Dave) Borer her grandchildren Eric (Erin) Schreiner, Valerie (Rudi) Feasel, Tyler Schreiner, Stephanie Johnson, Andrew (Alyssa) Bish, and 11 great grandchildren.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Florence Lynn, and her sister Jean Armstrong.

The funeral service will be held at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St Tiffin, Ohio 44883 on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Marilyn Coney officiating. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at Greenlawn Cemetery
