Obituary

Patricia "Pat" J. Lange, 64, Tiffin, Ohio.

Pat Lange lost her hard-fought battle with brain cancer on Monday, March 16th at 2:40am. She leaves behind three brothers, Joseph Lange of Tiffin, Douglas Lange of Tiffin, and Dennis Lange of Florida; a grandson, Zachary Smith of Cincinnati, a large extended family, and countless friends who will miss her so very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Mara, and sister, DeeDee, who certainly greeted her ecstatically when she arrived to be with them.

Pat attended Columbian High School and Lourdes College in Toledo. She was an avid tennis player. Pat started her work life at Wyme's restaurant in Tiffin, then took a job at American Standard as a supervisor - which moved her to New Orleans, Louisiana and then Trenton, New Jersey. While in New Jersey, she switched careers to work as a Director of Promotions for Prince Tennis, and owner of her own tennis stringing shop - where she was able to meet many tennis superstars, including her idol - Martina Navratilova. Pat attended every U.S. Open while she worked at Prince, generously including her friends and family in the V.I.P. experience.

Later, Pat returned to Tiffin and took over ownership of T.L.C. Home Nursing from her sister, DeeDee. She was able to use her business acumen to grow the business, while wholeheartedly tapping into the caregiver that she has always been. She enjoyed meeting each and every client, and truly loved the "work" of caring for the sick and elderly. After more than a decade, Pat moved on from T.L.C. and focused on a newfound love of playing Texas Hold 'Em poker professionally. Pat was given the moniker, "Scary Lady" at the poker tables because of her ice cold ability to stand up to any other player. She was both fearless and extremely skilled, and leaves behind a cadre of professional poker players who will never see the likes of her again.

Pat lit up every room with her unfailing humor and super-smart wit. She was a loving person who would move heaven and earth to help her friends and family. And she spent her days off cooking and baking, just so that she could deliver food all over Tiffin and beyond to those she loved. Her absence will be felt by many.

If you are interested in honoring Pat with donations, please send them to The Humane Society of Seneca County or Feeding America.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am - 12:00pm, immediately followed by a prayer service on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Hoffmann-Gottfried Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Condolences may be sent and the guestbook signed at www.hgmackfuneralhome.com.
