Obituary

Patricia Sue (Millott) Shertzer, 67, of Tiffin, Ohio and formerly of Clearwater, Florida died Saturday, at 1:44 a.m., October 25, 2008, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin, Ohio.

Pat was born Patricia Sue Millott in Sandusky, Ohio on December 18, 1940 to Richard H. and Elizabeth M. (Smith) Millott "Betty Klostermeyer." On January 15, 1966 Pat married James G. Shertzer in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Tiffin, Ohio and he survives in Tiffin.

Survivors include Pat's husband, Jim, Jim's brother and sister-in-law Ned & Joan Brinkman of Tiffin, Aunt Ellie and Uncle Fred Amann of Tiffin, cousin Sue Wahl of Berea, Ohio, friends Bill and Bea Stein of Tiffin and friends Mike and Doreen Lemons of Tiffin. Also may cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends both in the Northwestern Ohio area and in the Clearwater/St. Petersburg, Florida area.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, brothers David Millott (as an infant), Sandusky, Richard Walter Millot, Sandusky and Joseph Peter Millott, Bergenfield, New Jersey. Also, many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

Pat was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Tiffin, Ohio. She attended St.'s Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Sandusky and the parish Grade School and St. Mary's Central Catholic High School in Sandusky. She attended and completed training for Radiologic Technologist at Providence Hospital in Sandusky and joined the practice of Dr.'s Hoffman, Birmingham and Assoc. in Tiffin, later named Northcoast Radiation Oncology. Pat was employed at the same office for 39 years retiring in 2000. Pat loved her profession, maintained complete loyalty to her office and profession and gave great care and love to her patients over the years. She enjoyed TV game shows, playing cards, family & friends and her favorite hobby was traveling. She and husband Jim enjoyed many vacations throughout the United States and Canada and several years of Florida living at their home in Clearwater, Florida.

Several years ago Pat was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and lived with the disease with lots of courage and understanding.

Pat was a member of the National and Regional Business & Professional Women's Organization, the American Registry of X-Ray Technicians certified by the American College of Radiology, and was an active fun-loving member of the Red Hat Society of Doral Village, Clearwater, Florida and other social organizations both in Ohio and Florida.

Sincere thanks are expressed to the many family members, friends, caregivers and professionals who helped with and remained loyal to both Pat and Jim over the years.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2008, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka & Rev. James Say con-celebrating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Family and Friends are asked to gather in the Church. 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. prior to the Mass for fellowship with family and friends. The body has been cremated.
