Patsy, as she was known in her youth, was a 1947 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School. She married Richard Swartz on November 27, 1947.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Joseph) DeRose of Huron; three sons, Greg (Connie) Swartz, Stephen (Karen) Swartz and Scott (Donna) Swartz, all of Tiffin; son-in-law, Gary Smith of Columbus; sister, Marsha Sherwood; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; son, Richard Lee Swartz; daughter, Pamela Smith; brother, Douglas; and sister, Nancy.

Patricia worked as a telephone operator before working as a switchboard operator at Tiffin Mercy Hospital. She was a bookkeeper at the family Beverage Company that her husband and brother-in-law operated for many years, currently known as S & S Variety Beverage. Patricia was a parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church where she enjoyed working at the summer festival. She was also involved in many community organizations, such as the "Y Wives", the Music Boosters for Tiffin Calvert, and she enjoyed making popcorn balls during Christmas time with the Lions Club.

In her retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially in their R.V., to places such as Florida and the Grand Canyon. She enjoyed socializing with friends. Her family has many fond memories of the summers spent at the Cedar Point campground and beach.
