Paul W. Brickner, 82, of Tiffin and formerly of Bascom, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the Willows At Tiffin.
He was born on July 06, 1942, in Fostoria, Ohio, to Raphael and Olga (Schreiner) Brickner. On June 22, 1968, in St. Boniface Catholic Church, he married Carol Koby.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Brickner of Tiffin; sons, Kevin (Jessica) Brickner of Kansas and Dennis (Lori) Brickner of Fostoria; daughter, Laura (Edward) Quickle of Tiffin; brother, Harold (Virginia) Brickner of Columbus; sister, Roberta (James) Shaver of Tiffin; and six grandchildren, Hannah (Alec) Trumpower, Emily Brickner, Alexis Quickle, Jared Tyson, Brady Tyson and Jordan Brickner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raphael Brickner, Jr., Gerard Brickner and Mark Brickner as a child; and sister, Germaine Geyman.
Paul was a 1960 graduate of Fostoria St. Wendelin High School. He owned Paul's Upholstery Shop for 50 years and was a life-long farmer, farming outside of Bascom. He was a member of All Saints Parish (formerly SS Patrick & Andrew Catholic Church), Hopewell-Loudon Athletic and Music Boosters and past member of the Bascom Lions. Paul was inducted into the Hopewell-Loudon Hall of Fame, was an avid Ohio State fan, enjoyed coon hunting, perch fishing, vacationing in Canada, driving the back roads in the Amish Country, eating New Riegel ribs and loved attending his grandkid's sporting events.
His Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 02, 2024 at All Saints Parish with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 01, 2024 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. The family encourages you to wear OSU or Hopewell-Loudon attire.
