Obituary

Paul Edwin Lawrence, 81, of Bucyrus, passed away on Thursday morning, March 21, 2013 at his home.

He was born on May 28, 1931 in Bloomville, Ohio, to William Mckinley and Sylvia Luella (Stuckey) Lawrence.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lawrence of Colorado; daughter, Karen Tapia, of Colorado; 2 sons, Paul Lawrence, Jr. of Utah and George (Kathy) Lawrence of Colorado; half-sisters, Phyllis Banks and Eva "Susie" Brown; 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Catherine Folk, Margret Walters and Deliliah Greenwald; and 4 brothers, Wayne, Ervin, Darl and Bill Lawrence.

Paul served in the United States Army during the Korean War from March 22, 1951 to February 18, 1953 and worked in a nursing home for years. He enjoyed fishing, planting flowers and was a member of the Marion Fraternal Order of Eagles #337. He lived in Colorado for years and moved back to Bucyrus in 2002; where his health had been declining for many years.

His funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Rev. David Raulston officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the United Veterans Council.

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March, 26, 2013, at the funeral home.
