Paul N. 'Bud' Stein, 81, of Tiffin, died Wednesday morning, February 11, 2009, at his home.
June 6, 1927, he was born in Sandusky to Norbert and Renata (Keller) Stein. September 10, 1949, he married Jean Whitman.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jean, of Tiffin, four daughters, Vicki (Larry) Hutlock of Grafton, Paula (David) Hinote of Corydon, IN, Sally (Jeff) Baker of Tiffin, Denise (Kevin) Smith of Bell Buckle, TN; a brother, Richard (Rosella) Stein of Port Clinton, a sister, Rita (Lewis) Whitman of Sebring, FL, a special niece, Carol (Bob) Taylor of Clyde, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death along with his parents is a brother, Donald Stein.
Bud was a 1945 graduate of Port Clinton High School and proudly served in the US Navy. He was originally from Fremont, moved to Florida for 15 years, then to Tiffin. He worked at Ford Motor Company in Sandusky for 26 years, retiring in 1982. He belonged to the Fremont Yacht Club, where he was commander twice, and enjoyed, golf, pinochle, boating and painting.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home with Chaplain David Gowen officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
