Pauline Heater, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Friday evening, May 30, 2014 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
On July 18, 1924 in Buckhannan, WV, she was born to Ulysses and Lena Nutter. She married Richard Bennett and he passed away in 1945. She later married Robert Heater on May 4, 1946 in West Virginia and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1992.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Lawrence of Bloomville; sons, Richard (Kim) Heater of Fostoria and Charles (Deb) Heater of Huntington, WV; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Mary Lynch on December 20, 1998.
For 72 years, she wished for her diploma and in 2013, she received her Diploma and was recognized as a graduate of Tiffin Columbian. Pauline was recruited a few months before her graduation from high school in 1942 to work for a defense plant in Maryland during WWII. She was raised in the Baptist Church and attended Gospel Sings with her best friend Delores Lawrence. In 1955, she started working for General Electric as a winder and retired after 30 years. She enjoyed traveling and her animals, but most of all the time she spent with her family.
Her funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with rev, Jerry Boylen Officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Garden.
Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
