Obituary

Peggy A. Lucius, 49, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, July 25, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

She was born June 18, 1961, in Lake Forest, Ill., to Richard L. and Nancy (Metzger) Fisher. She married Ken Gooding and they later divorced. She then married David Lucius Feb. 2, 2002.

Survivors include her husband of 8 years, David; two daughters, Kendra Gooding and Meridith Lucius, both at home; parents, Richard and Nancy Fisher of Tiffin; a sister, Cathy (Joe) Margraf and three brothers, Tom (Heather) Fisher, Mike (Jeanie) Fisher and Rick (Kim) Fisher, all of Tiffin; grandmother, Mary Fisher of Tiffin; father-in-law, Earl (Alice) Lucius of Tiffin; brother-in-law, Kurtis (Doris) Lucius of Tiffin; two sisters-in-law, Karen (Mike) Colatruglio of Vermilion and Deb (Rob) Griffey of Toledo; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Ruth Ann Lucius in 1994.

Peggy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a 1979 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and worked in activities at Tiffin Developmental Center for over 15 years. She volunteered for Relay for Life, first grade reading program at Washington School, and at her childrens' activities at St. Joseph. Peggy coached volleyball for many years for the CYO program at St. Joseph, Mohawk schools, Old Fort schools and was a swim instructor, trampoline instructor, life guard and swim coach at the YMCA. She enjoyed spending time with her family in South Padre Island, TX. Peggy was very involved with her daughters; she would tell everyone "the greatest job is being a mother".

Her Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may visit and share memories with the family from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424.
