Philip M. Spackey, 101, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at St. Francis Home.
He was born August 16, 1909, in Seneca County, to Roy H. and Mammie (Michael) Spackey. He married I. Virginia 'Jane' Renninger January 12, 1936.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding him in death along with his parents and wife, Jane, in 1998; is a son, Gary Spackey in 1989; and a brother, Henry Spackey.
Philip was a graduate of Townsend High School, attended Heidelberg College and was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church. He loved being a farmer, fishing in Canada and traveling to all 50 states, Europe and Asia. He worked and General Electric and retired as a stationary engineer at Webster Mfg. after 14 years.
His Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424, with Rev. Nathan Howe officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family 1-2:00 PM, Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.
