Phyllis M. Ranker, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Friday morning, January 30, 2015 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

She was born on February 9, 1925, in Shelby, Ohio, to Clyde and Francis (Castor) Powell. On October 17, 1942 she married Robert L. Ranker, Sr. and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2001.

Survivors include her son Ronald (Kim Herman) Ranker of Tiffin; daughter, Patricia (Gary) Bishop of Bucyrus; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert. L. Ranker, Jr. in 1948; 3 brothers, John, Paul and Dale Powell; and sister, Hazel M. Sours.

Phyllis was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and worked at General Electric for several years. She was a great cook, enjoyed reading, playing BINGO, getting together with friends to play Bunco, and taking care of her home. Phyllis was a member and Past Senior Regent of the Women of the Moose 846.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
