Ramon Mae Hoerig, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 18, 2016 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky.

She was born on May 23, 1933, in Greenup County, KY, to Raymond and Clara (Wiley) Dowdy. She married Lawrence E. Hoerig on June 14, 1952 and he preceded her in death on December 19, 1976.

Survivors include three sons, Lawrence E. (Patty) Hoerig of Findlay and twins, David A. (Sherie) Hoerig and Daniel J. (Linda) Hoerig, both of Tiffin; four daughters, Wanda Kay (Ted) Davis of Marion, Bridget E. (Paul) Shoemaker of Tiffin, Teresa L. Jacobs of Willard and Angela D. (Tom) Drake of Gurnee, IL; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Edith Havens and Nancy Sperow; and two grandchildren, Craig Hoerig in 2004 and infant, Randy Hoerig in 1976

Ramon graduated from high school in 1951 in Lucasville, Ohio. She was an aide at the State Hospital, Tiffin for over 25 years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Ramon was a member of the Mothers of Twins Club and enjoyed playing cards, going on trips and spending time with her family.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with family from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
