Randall S. “Randy” Bendure, 78, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
He was born on March 03, 1948, in Middletown, Ohio, to Robert James and Jacqueline (Wendell) Bendure. On January 08, 2005, he married Karol Hart in Las Vegas.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Karol Bendure of Tiffin; son, Ryan (Cathy) Bendure of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Raymond Lee Bendure of Three Rivers, MI; brothers-in-law, Terry (Sheila) Tucker of Waterville and Jay (Jesse) Hart of Temperance, MI; grandson, Kyle Bendure, of Phoenix, AZ; first wife, Donna (Dan) Lagerstedt of Mentor; and second wife, Debra (Ray) Racette of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Perry Tucker; and sister-in-law, Barbara Bendure.
Randy graduated from Middletown High School, marking the beginning of his academic journey. He continued his studies at Ohio Northern University, earning both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1970. In 1973, Randy completed his Juris Doctor at Ohio Northern University, preparing him for a distinguished career in law.
After graduation, Randy began his professional career at Wilmer & Wilmer in Middletown. Eventually, Randy relocated to Tiffin, where he maintained a general law practice for 50 years. He also worked part-time for Matt Davidson from February 2006 to January 2015 at Davidson Law Office in Three Rivers, Michigan, where he resided at his favorite place, Corey Lake. His areas of expertise included Business and Corporate Law, Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, Family Law, Estate Planning, Personal Injury, Probate, and Real Estate.
Randy was admitted to the Ohio State Bar Association (prior sections: Young Lawyers, Insurance Defense, Plaintiff’s Bar and Aviation Law), the American Bar Association, and the Seneca Bar Association in 1974 where he served as Secretary, President, and Associate of the Public Defender’s Office. In 1978, he joined Sandusky and Hancock County Bar Associations; in 2007, the State of Michigan and St. Joseph County Bar Association and filled in as a Seneca County Judge.
Randy holds licenses to practice law in all Michigan courts, the Federal Court (Northern District), and the United States Supreme Court. He is affiliated with the Ohio Association of Trial Lawyers, the American Association of Trial Lawyers, the Ohio Judicial College (serving as acting Tiffin Municipal Court Judge from 1984 to 2004), Seneca Title Agency, Ltd. (since 1978), Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity, and PAD.
Randy was a member of Jaycees (1974-1985) where he served as Past President and Exhausted Ruler, Kiwanis Club (1985 to present), U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary (1976 to present), B.P.O.E. (Elks) (1974 to present), American Veterans (son of Veteran) (2001 to present), Tiffin Moose (1997 to present), Tiffin Eagles (1989-1995 and the Chamber of Commerce of Tiffin, Ohio and Three Rivers, MI.
Randy enjoyed golfing, sailing, boating, SCUBA, fishing, water sports, reading, music, zig zag puzzles, and flying. He co-owned a Piper Cherokee aircraft with Harold Gosche.
There will be a Celebration of Randall’s life at a later date this summer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Seneca County Humane Society.
