Ray Lee Matthews, 60, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday afternoon, August 6, 2018 at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.

He was born on January 27, 1958, in Tiffin, to Lloyd and Marlene (Spaun) Matthews.  On November 20, 1976, he married Gayle Tusing.

Survivors include his mother, Marlene Matthews of Tiffin; wife, Gayle of Tiffin; sons, Brad (Jaime) Matthews of Mobile, AL, Chad Matthews and Brett (Sabrina) Matthews of Tiffin; brothers, Mike (Tammy) Matthews and Tim (Sandy) Matthews, both of Tiffin; Jim (Terrie) Matthews of Lawtey, FL and Daniel (Patricia) Matthews of Pueblo, Colorado; and five granddaughters, Maysen, Alysen, Tabby, Mallory and Ellie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Matthews.

Ray graduated in 1976 from Tiffin Columbian High School.  He was a member of the Tiffin Eagles #402 and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Sauber's Stumble Inn, Bascom.
