Raymond H. Bland, 81, of McCutchenville, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, January 26, 2022 at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.

He was born on July 18, 1940, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Benjamin and Violet (Gerstenberger) Bland.  On June 27, 1964, he married Julia M. Ward.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Bland of McCutchenville; son, Jason R. Bland of McCutchenville; daughters Linda (Doug) Slavey of Sycamore and Connie Griffin of Tiffin; brother, William (Donna) Bland of Findlay; sister, Kathy (Steve) Acker of FL; four grandchildren, Shawn, Christopher, Derek and Charles; and four great grandchildren, Ace, Carlie, Zoey and Leanna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Bland and Violet Butterman; brother, Fred Bland, and sister, Wanda McGlone.

Raymond was a 1958 graduate of McCutchenville High School and  served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1961.  He worked at General Electric until its closing in 1986.  After G.E. closed, he worked at Whirlpool in Findlay for 17 years, retiring in 2002.  He enjoyed riding his golfcart around his house, mowing his lawn, playing on his computer, being at home and was a great craftsman.

His funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the Service on Monday at the funeral home.
