Raymond Kopp, 78, of Westlake and formerly of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Arden Courts-ProMedica Memory Care Community,

He was born on September 09, 1945, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Raymond E. and Dorothy L. (Tiell) Kopp, SR.  On April 04, 1975, he married Carolyn L. Patterson and she preceded him in death on February 12, 2022.

He is survived by his son, Christopher A. (Deanna Nichols) Kopp of Tiffin; daughters, Penny (Joseph) Cochran of New Washington, and Michelle (Paul) Dewald and Shannon (Kevin) Carter, both of Tiffin; brothers, James A. Kopp of Marblehead, Steven R. Kopp of Tiffin, Mark A. Kopp of Republic, Timothy P. Kopp of Tiffin, Thomas W. Kopp of Marrero, Louisianna and Richard D. (Amy) Kopp of Tiffin; sisters, Kathleen A. (Ray) Runion of Bloomville and Peg E. (Stephen) Sheridan and Laura A. (Gary) Chapman, both of Tiffin; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Kopp; sisters-in-law, Becky Kopp and Bev Kopp; and one great grandchild.

Raymond attended Tiffin Calvert High School and retired from Allied Signal.  He was a member of First Christian Church and an active sponsor with Alcoholics Anonymous.  Raymond was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes.  He enjoyed coaching D-League baseball, camping at the lake, dog and horse races, playing pinochle, taking walks and loved his little dogs.  Raymond loved family time, especially cooking with his grandkids and never missed their games.

Friends may visit with the family from  2-4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 .  A Service will follow at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Doug DeVos officiating.
