Richard P. Ball, 84, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday afternoon, September 22, 2016.

He was born on May 12, 1932, in Tiffin, Ohio to Herman Joseph and Lucille (Huth) Ball. On April 4, 1959, he married Sarah E. Farmer.

Survivors include his two sons, Paul J. (Lenora) Ball of Cloverdale, Ohio and Edward J. (Rebecca) Ball of Toledo; daughter, Diane M. (Scott) Brown of Tiffin; sister, Shirley (Richard) Rochester of Tiffin; 4 grandchildren, Travis (Charissan) Menke, Kimberly (William) Davis, Devon Downey and Kaleb Brown; and six great grandchildren, Mariah and Cody Menke, Dalton, Destinie, and Dominic Davis and Keagen Downey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sarah; sisters, Mary Alice Hill and Norma Schwab; and two grandchildren, Rodney Menke and Sarah Ellen Brown.

Richard graduated in 1950 from Tiffin Calvert High School and attended Tiffin University. He served in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class. While stationed in England, he met his wife, Sarah. Richard retired in 1984 as a United States Postman from the Tiffin office and he enjoyed movies and googling on his i-pad.

His Memorial Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Frank Murd Officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the United Veterans Council.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home.
