Rita M. Keckler, 76, of Tiffin, passed away Friday evening, July 21, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.

On October 27, 1940 in New Riegel, she was born to Albert Peter and Marie (Picciuto) Lauterbur.

She is survived by three children, John (Angel) Gillen of Upper Sandusky; Craig Keckler  and Jodie Booze both of Tiffin; close friend for years, Rex Flickinger of Tiffin; brother, Mike Lauterbur of Tiffin; sisters, Liz Frasure of Findlay; Marg (Paul) Breitigam, Millie (Jim) Starky, and Donna Thallman all of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Shirley Poignon, Mary Brown, and infant twin sisters, Karen and Sharon Lauterbur.

Rita attended St. Mary Catholic Church and worked as an attendant at Southside Laundry for years.  She was a member of the Tiffin Moose Lodge, enjoyed lottery tickets, casino trips and gambling.  Rita enjoyed crocheting, baking cookies, her famous potato salad and loved spending time with her family.

Her service will be Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 1:00 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.  Burial will be at a later date in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 11-1 at the funeral home.
