Rita J. Schneider, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday morning, June 21, 2011 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.

On May 7, 1922 in Tiffin, she was born to George and Lucy (Roller) Hepp. She married Edgar Renninger and later Stanley Schneider and both preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy (Mike) Mack of Tiffin; step-sons, Allen Schneider of Fostoria and Dennis of FL; 3 grandchildren, John (Carrie) Kramer, James (Molly Thompson) Mack and Lucas (Dr. Amber Pasko-Mack); 2 great grandchildren, Alison and Kaylee Kramer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers, John Clifford and Richard Hepp and an infant brother, G. Howard Hepp.

Rita was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1940 graduate of Tiffin Calvert. She worked as an assistant for Dr. France and Dr. Chambers for over 30 years, retiring in 1989. Rita volunteered her time to helping others around the area. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grand children.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 24, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Eric Culler officiating. The rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 24, 2011 from 10-11:30 am at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Community Hospice Care and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
