Robert A. "Bob" Bentz, 66, of Clyde and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Saturday evening, February 28, 2015 at Bridge Hospice in Findlay.

He was born on July 28, 1948, in Tiffin, Ohio to Vincent C. and Anna V. (Borer) Bentz. He married Sharon Heilman in 1968 and they later divorced. He married Lois Marks in 1981 and they also divorced.

Survivors include his son, Christopher (Lori) Bentz of Tiffin; 2 grandsons, Austin Bentz of Tiffin and Cobin Bentz of New Albany; 2 step-daughters, Vanessa (Tim) Warren of Fremont; Chari (Robert) Foos of Illinois; step-son, John (Jody) Patynko of Clyde; 12 step-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Joyce McKinney of Tiffin, Marilyn (Jim) Miller of Fostoria and Dorothy (John) Mabe of Seffner, FL; brother, Mike (Mary) Bentz of Perrysburg; and sister-in-law, Helen Bentz of Findlay.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Charles Bentz.

Bob graduated in 1966 from Tiffin Calvert High School and served in the United States Army. He retired from Clyde Whirlpool after 34 years, sold real estate for 20 years and the was the manager of the Clyde Moose Lodge for six years. Bob was a member of the Clyde Moose Lodge #393, Clyde V.F.W. Post 3343, Clyde F.O.E. #2291 and he enjoyed golfing, playing cards and shooting pool.

His memorial service will be private.
