Robert C. 'Bob' Kramer, 81, of Tiffin, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
On December 16, 1927 he was born to John and Clara (Landoll) Kramer in Akron. On April 15, 1950 he married Doris Graham in St. Bonfice Catholic Church in New Riegel.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Cheryl (Jim) Perry-Reinhart of Tiffin, Janine Wetherell of Upper Sandusky; three sons, Ron (Jane) Kramer of Kalamazoo, MI., Bob Kramer of Worthington, Joe (Michelle) Kramer of Tiffin, brother Don (Bess) Kramer of Wichita Falls, TX., two sisters, Rosella (Wayne) Gnepper and Millie (Louie) Lucius, both of New Riegel; fourteen grandchildren, Jason Perry, Andrew Kramer, Chad Perry, Jon Perry, Sarah Kramer, Ashley Reinhart, Katie Reinhart, Danny Perry, Aaron Wetherell, Laura Wetherell, Katie Wetherell, Alexandra Kramer, Nicholas McCollum, and Olivia Kramer; four great-grandchildren, Avery Perry, Rylan Perry, Cameron Gayheart, and Isabella Viera.
Preceding him in death are his parents, a sister, Germaine Scherger, and a son-in-law Mike Perry.
Bob was a 1945 graduate of New Riegel High School. He served in the U.S. Army. Bob was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where he was an Usher, and New Riegel American Legion, Post #354. He worked at Floom-Fleck for over 20 years and also for Meadow Gold Dairy in Tiffin for 10 years, retiring in 1986. He was also a self-taught electrician. Bob enjoyed sports, playing recreational softball and basketball. He coached Little League, Tiffin D-League, and the Tiffin Elks for 20 years. Bob liked to go camping, hunting, always enjoying the outdoors. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, and helping his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am, Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Eric Culler officiating. The rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Military Graveside services will be conducted by the New Riegel American Legion.
Friends may visit with the family 4-8pm, Monday July 27, 2009, with a Christian wake service being held 3:30pm, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Military wake service will be at 8pm, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, St. Mary Catholic Church, or to Calvert Catholic Schools.
