Obituary

Robert James "Bob" Wilson, 59 of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday evening, March 19, 2014 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born on March 25, 1954, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Jimmie B. and Marjorie A. (Moore) Wilson. On December 1, 1979, in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, he married Christine M. Lonsway of Fostoria and she survives.

Survivors also include his father, Jimmie B. (Marilyn) Wilson, of Tiffin; son, Shawn K. (Fiancé, Hanah Kocher) Wilson of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Stephanie I. (Jeffrey) Simpson of Chesapeake, VA and Sara L. (Jason) Lather, M.D of Whitehouse, OH.; brother, David B. (Roberta) Wilson of Columbus; sister, Susan D. (Dean) Marks of Roanoke, TX; and 3 grandchildren, Nixon and Kaleb Simpson and Quinn Lather.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie.

Bob graduated in 1972 from Tiffin Columbian High School and from The Ohio State University in 1976 with a Bachelor's Degree. He owned Robert J. Wilson Appraisal for 35 years becoming a Certified Residential R. E. Appraiser in 1991. He was a member of Tiffin Elks Lodge #94, Ohio Archaeological Society, Indiana Archaeological Society, OSU President's Club, OSU Alumni Association., Toledo Zoo Life Member, Heartland Board of Realtors, Fireland Board of Realtors, National Association of Realtors. Bob coached the Tigers Tiffin E League team for 19 years, retiring in 2012 and was a trivia expert. He was a Detroit and OSU fan; attending every OSU home football game for the last 42 years.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-6:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake service will begin at 1:30 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Intensive Care Unit Department.
