Obituary

Robert F. "Bob" Martin, 68, of Tiffin, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, March 22, 2012.

He was born, in Tiffin, Ohio, on August 19, 1943, to Edward "Bud" and Ruth "Sadie" (Parker) Martin. On June 30, 1960, he married Judith "Judy" Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; three sons, Tim (Rhonda) Martin of Bloomville, Ohio, Pastor James (Jeanne) Martin and Louis (Tammy) Martin, both of Tiffin, Ohio; two daughters, DeeAnna Frankart of Norwalk, Ohio and Shiela (Rick) Lombardy of Port Clinton, Ohio; two sisters, Judy (Allen) Biller of Sycamore, Ohio and Vickie (Larry) Brickner of Tiffin, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Cassie, Lyndsey, James, Christine, Robert, Nicole and Joshua; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Ken Martin; and grandson, Robert "Bobby" Frankart.

Bob graduated from Sentinel Vocational Center in 1988 and George Meany National Labor College in 1990. He was a painter and a member of International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades for 40 years. He worked with A.G.M. for 10 years. He was a member of Local 788 District Council 6 in Cleveland, Ohio and was a business representative for Local 788 for the last 10 years. Bob loved to tell people about the Lord and was a member of Amazing Grace Missions, witnessing to everyone at State and local fairs. Bob wanted everyone to know "I left this world happy in the Lord." He enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor James Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 2-5:00 P.M. and on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 10-11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Truth Baptist Church or Bridge Hospice.
