Robert Wayne Metzger, 61, of Tiffin, died Wednesday evening, May 26, 2010, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by his family and friends.

On March 6, 1949, he was born in Washington, DC, to Joseph Felts and Maria Cecilia (Loden) Metzger.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Metzger of Huron; and Robert 'Bob' Metzger; his significant other, Sylvia Smith of Tiffin; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding him in death along with his parents is a sister, Pat Meng.

Robert was a graduate of George Washington High School in Alexandria, VA, and worked for over 30 years at Bettcher Industries, retiring in February 2009. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 402, VFW Post 2858, AmVets Post 48 and Norwalk Moose.


His funeral service and burial will be at a later date.
