Ronald “Ronnie” Joseph Goshe, 61, of Tiffin, Ohio, went to be with our Lord on April 7th, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Ron was born on March 22, 1965, to Arthur H. Goshe and Elaine J. Goshe (Depinet). He graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1983.
Ron worked many years in retail management, a career that took him to several cities including Troy, Ohio; Hillsdale, Michigan; and Louisville, Kentucky, before eventually returning home to Tiffin, Ohio.
Growing up, Ron and his siblings spent their childhood on the family farm - climbing trees, building forts, and picking apples. Those early years helped shape Ron’s love of nature and the outdoors, something he carried with him throughout his life.
Ron loved to camp and especially loved the coast of Maine, which he often said was his happy place. He enjoyed visiting lighthouses, walking along the rocky coast, and stopping for a crab roll at Day’s Crab Shack. He loved sharing those trips and experiences with his family.
Ron had a creative eye and enjoyed decorating, gardening, collecting pottery, cooking, and music. He had a deep love for music and took pride in sharing it with those around him, whether it was introducing someone to a new artist or gifting their first CDs.
He was especially known for hosting unforgettable Halloween parties for his family, complete with incredible food, decorations inside and out, hay wagon rides, and memories that will last a lifetime. Ron loved to laugh, and his laugh was contagious.
Ron was a selfless and compassionate person who was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, and be there to support others. He believed in letting people be who they are, loving one another, and always making room for everyone at the table. More than anything, Ron loved his family and cherished the time spent together.
Ron is survived by his mother, Elaine Goshe; his siblings Leonard Goshe, Edward Goshe, Mary Goshe, his devoted caregiver and best friend, and John (Ronda) Goshe, all of Tiffin, Ohio; Gerald Goshe and Daniel (Jennifer) Goshe of Republic, Ohio; and Carolyn Menta of Indiana, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Eric Goshe, Brett Goshe, Amber (Victor) Nguyen, Laura (Tim) Smith, Amy Goshe, Alicia Goshe, Ryan Goshe, Andrew Goshe, Jacob (Lexy) Goshe, Mason Goshe, Carly Goshe, Madeline Menta, and Luciana Menta; and great-nieces and nephews: Cailyn Holbrook, Parker Nguyen, Ethan Goshe, Owen Goshe, and Evan Smith. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Goshe; his brother, Michael Goshe; his sisters, Barbara Goshe and Lorie Anne Goshe; and his sister-in-law, Rena Goshe.
Ron will be remembered for his kindness, his laugh, his creativity, his love of Maine, and the way he made people feel welcomed, accepted, and loved. He believed that life was best spent outdoors, around a table full of food, surrounded by people you love, with room for everyone to belong. He didn’t just love his people - he had a way of making people feel loved. The world was a better place because he was here.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, April 13, 2026 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Jesse Chick officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 1-3:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
