Rosario "Russ" P. Martorana, 90, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, April 15, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.

On November 14, 1927 in Tiffin, he was born to Paul and Agata (Congelose) Martorana.  He married Irene L. Hess on May 24, 1952 and she preceded him in death in 2014.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue (Jeff) Berryman of Fremont; two sons, Paul (Bev) Martorana and Joe (Deb) Martorana both of Tiffin; brothers, Mike (Marie) Martorana of Sicily, Italy; Joe Martorana of New Jersey; sisters, Marie Gaglino, Lena Rizzo, and Santa (Tony) Buttitta all of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Paul, Carissa, Eric, Michael, Nick and Mandy, eight great grandchildren, Sophia, Cecelia, Rosaria, Lily, Zoey, Mason, Max, Charlee and his dog, Canoli.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Gino Martorana, sister, Catherine Camilleri and an infant sister, Marie Martorana.

Russ was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and attended high school in Sicily.  He was born in Tiffin and moved to Sicily as a child with his family to work the family farm and in 1947 moved back to Tiffin.  He worked at area factories and retired in 1987 from National Machinery after several years.  He enjoyed travelling the United States in his RV, casino trips, gardening, tending his green house, fishing, playing cards, Wednesday night poker at the Knights of Columbus, where he was a member and watching westerns.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church.  Burial will be private in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.  A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass.

Friends may visit and share stories on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 5-8 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Bridge Hospice.
