Roy H. Taulbee, 57, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday morning, March 8, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.

On July 11, 1956 in Letcher County, KY; he was born to Kindred and Julia (West) Taulbee. He married Christle "Lynda" Brock on July 19, 1975.

He is survived by his children, Shawn (Tammy) Taulbee, Jessie (Angela) Taulbee, Philbert (Chris) Taulbee, and Jennifer Stoltz all of Tiffin; Misty Tackett of Willard; grandchildren, Shawna (Michael), R. Shawn P. (Samantha), Logan, Hailey, Zander, Ryan, and Lauren Taulbee, Chaila and Kyla Stoltz, great grandchildren, Ava and Cason Hornof and Grace Taulbee. Also surviving are sisters, Annie "Sis" Halcomb, Elizabeth "Jean" Sandlin and a brother, Glen Taulbee, brothers in law, Bobby and Lewis Brock, sisters in law, Carol Brock and Lucy Carter and mother in law, Katherine Brock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Myrtle "Peanut" Taulbee, niece Geria Brock, father in law, Bobby Brock, brother in law, Terry Brock, and a son in law, John Stoltz.

Roy was a second father and sometimes the only father figure for many of his nieces, nephews, and children who grew up with his children. He was a dad, Uncle Roy, or papa to many. Throughout his life, he enjoyed big family get togethers, fishing, camping, gardening and new grand babies made him the happiest.

His funeral will be Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Nancy Cullen officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Creek Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday starting at 11:30 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
