Ruth Marie Gerber, 83, of Tiffin, died on her birthday, Friday, September 12, 2008, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
On September 12, 1925, she was born in Seneca County to Edward J. and Evelyn M. (Huth) Weisenberger. On September 14, 1946, she married Dale E. Gerber in St. Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan (David) Holderman of Fostoria, Nancy (Gerber) Emmons of Tiffin, two granddaughters, Nanette Reid of Tiffin, Charity M. Bracy of Benton Ridge, four great-grandchildren, Payge Ann Cook, Zander Edward Cook, Brandon M. Bracy and Allan P. Bracy.
Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband, Dale, on March 23, 1977, are two brothers, Joseph Weisenberger, Dr. John Weisenberger, a sister, Jean Gosche and a grandson.
Ruth was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She volunteered at Mercy Hospital and enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, bingo, Yahtzee and counted cross stitch. She retired from Tiffin Developmental Center.
Graveside services are 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 20, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.
Friends may visit with the family 2-7 PM, Thursday, September 18, 2008 at her daughter, Susan's home, at 21356 W. State Rte. 12, Fostoria.
Memorial contributions can be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice Findlay, the American Cancer Society or St. Mary Parish.
