Ruth Marie Linthicum, 77, of Tiffin Ohio, passed away Thursday, Feb.12, 2015 due to rapid onset of pancreatic cancer at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Florida.

Ruth was born, Nov 28, 1937 in Sycamore Ohio, to Alfred Walton and Blanch Marie (Albert) Jamison.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 58 years, James D. Linthicum, of Tiffin; sons, James R. and Kayla (Egbert) Linthicum of Pickerington OH, Michael A. and Lisa (Baker) Linthicum of Perrysburg, OH and Arthur L. and Donna (Gross) Linthicum of Rossford OH; nine grand children; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Dennis J. (Barbara) Jamison of Fort Wayne IN; and one sister, Jean M. (Paul) Boyer of Port Charlotte, FL.

Ruth graduated from Galion High School where she was a majorette in the band. Ruth loved bowling, adored her family and was a very cherished wife. She sold real-estate for Wagner's for a shortime and retired after 28 years with the Tiffin Public Schools; teaching reading under The Title One Federal reading program.

After retirement, she loved her flower gardens, sending everybody she knew birthday cards, traveling with Jim and spending winters in Florida. Ruth was a very active church elder at Trinity United Church of Christ Tiffin, originating the church's Heritage weekend participation, taught Sunday school and was involved with many committees.

Her Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Trinity United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Louis Dorsch officiating. Burial will be private in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sycamore.

Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at Trinity United Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity United Church of Christ or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) or to a charity of the donor's choice.
