Obituary

Sharon L. Boes, 69, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, October 1, 2012 at her home.

On February 9, 1943 in Tiffin, she was born to Emery and Anna Louise (Thom) Whitman. She married John Boes June 27, 1964 and he survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include her children; a daughter, Jody (Keith) Scaife of Tiffin; two sons, Todd (Shannan) Boes and Brad (Melissa) Boes both of Tiffin; two sisters, Linda (Bob) Sendelbach of Tiffin; Dawn (James) Jones of Baltimore, OH; seven grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew Scaife, Nathan, Brook and Brandon Boes, Emma and Megan Boes; special nieces and nephews, Kevin, Scott, Chad, Ryan and Melisa Sendelbach and Kennedy and Kortney Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sharon was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1961 graduate of Jackson-Liberty High School and Tiffin University. She worked in the office for Fleck Electric for 19 years and in the office at Kmart for 21 years. Sharon cleaned for 7 years at St. Francis Convent and North Central Ohio Educational Service Center for 18 years. Sharon was a 4-H Advisor for 25 years and a member of Beta-Sigma-Phi for over 5 years. She enjoyed camping at Meadowbrook Park, Seneca County Fair and was a Cleveland Indians Fan. Sharon cared about everyone, including her dogs and especially her family and grandchildren. They were her life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 5-8 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory at 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin. 419-447-2424. A Wake service will begin at 4:30 PM.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment (FACT) or the Seneca County Humane Society.
