Shirley A. Culver, 88, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday morning, June 13, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
She was born on November 12, 1935, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Raymond V. and Thelma M. (Feasel) Hippler. On December 11, 1955, she married Harold M. Culver and he preceded her in death on August 24, 2005.
Survivors include her sons, Steven "Mike" (Penny Burge) Culver of Greensboro, NC, Harold T. "Skip" (Diane) Culver and Randy Culver, both of Tiffin and John (Anita) Culver of Oaks, PA; ten grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ohlen Hippler and Raymond V. Hippler; sister, Nancy Beamer; and one great granddaughter.
Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and was the office manager at the Tiffin YMCA from 1975 until she retired in 2004. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tiffin Emblem Club #62, Tiffin Women of the Moose, the Eagles Auxiliary #402 and the Allen Eiry Senior Center. Shirley enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Guardians, going on bus trips, casino trips and playing Bingo.
Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Karsten Snitker officiating. Entombment will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family from 5-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen Eiry Senior Center and the Humane Society of Seneca County.
