Stephanie M. Chavez, 54, of Tiffin, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Twilight Gardens Nursing Home after a struggle with diabetes for years.

She was born on October 2, 1967, in Tiffin, Ohio, to David E. and Sharon A. (Heck) Hedden.  She was formerly married to Emilo Chavez.

She is survived by her mother, Sharon A. Hedden of Tiffin; longtime companion, Scott Cook of Tiffin; son, Josh Chavez; and brother, Chris (Jennifer) Hedden of Toledo.

She was preceded in death by her father, David E. Hedden.

Stephanie was a 1986 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and attended Stautzenberger College.  She worked in the office at the Veteran's Affairs in Tiffin and loved her dog, Aussie.

A Graveside service will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County or to Stein Hospice.
