Steve E. Mathes, 81, of Tiffin, passed away on Friday evening, March 27, 2026, at Embassy of Willard.
He was born on November 13, 1944, in Parcoal, WV, to Roy Junior and Este M. Mathes. On August 19, 1967, he married Susan Hushour.
Steve is survived by his son, Michael (Kimberlie) Mathes of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until Noon on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Graveside Service will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
