Suzanne Jackson, 83, of Defiance and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday evening, August 12, 2015 at Community Health Hospice in Defiance.

She was born on May 1, 1932, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Karl T. and Ernestine L. (Miller) Leiner. On November 20, 1955, she married C. Thomas Jackson, Jr. and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2002.

She is survived by her son, William "Bill" (Callie) Jackson of Defiance; daughter, Laurie J. (Gustavo) Sierra of Fostoria; sister, Jane Schulz Jones of Billings, Montana; seven grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Noah, Cody, Ashley and Nakea; and one great grandson, Jackson.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Leiner; and sister, Carolyn Bage.

Suzanne graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School, Heidelberg University and received her Master's degree from Bowling Green State University for her teaching career. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tiffin and St. John's United Church of Christ in Defiance.

A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Trinity United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Louis Dorsch and Rev. Cheryl Stiles con-officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

A Memorial Service will also be at 1:00 P.M. On Monday, August 24, 2015 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Defiance with Rev. Jim Brehler and Rev. Cheryl Stiles con-officiating.
