Tami Ruth Ferstler

Tami Ruth Ferstler, 50, of Tiffin, was embraced into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father at 10:00 AM on December 25, 2009 at her home. Tami was continuously surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born May 31, 1959 in Tiffin, to Jack G. and Evadene (McKinley) Kiesel, both are deceased. She married Tony Ferstler, February 25, 1983. They later renewed their vows at St. Joseph Catholic Church on June 7, 1997. Tami and Tony cherish both their sons, Anthony Edward Ferstler, and Christopher Michael Ferstler, both of Tiffin.

Other members of her family include her sisters, Bonnie Hade of Mechanicsburg, and Cathy (Eric) Gottfried of Tiffin, brother, Jack Gene (Kathleen) Kiesel of Republic; five nieces and one nephew.

An avid cat lover, she enjoyed the companionship of her cats, Leo, Binky, Lilly Lilac, and the adorable Bella, as they were very much a part of her family!

Tami graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1978, and worked for Seneca Medical (and its prior companies), for the past 28 years. She treasured her co-workers as they shared their lives. She described them as dedicated and loyal friends whom she loved.

She was a Longaberger Basket Consultant and collector for over 10 years, and a charter member of BFFHDB. Tami loved wallpapering, painting, decorating her home, country music, motorcycle rides with her husband. She treasured also the memories of vacationing with close family and friends and their cruisin' buddies.

Tami fought her cancer with dignity and courage without ever losing concern for others, keeping her faith with hope. Loved by many and missed by all, we are to remember Tami whenever we hear the chimes playing in the wind. They speak the words Tami wants us to hear saying, "Be strong and remember I love you--- till we meet again. To be absent from the body is to be present with our LORD."

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where her Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

A SPECIAL ONE HOUR WILL BE DEDICATED FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO REFLECT ON TAMI'S LIFE ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2009 FROM 7-8 PM. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 2-7 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424. A wake service will be Thursday, December 30, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the funeral home.

Tami suggested memorial contributions, on her behalf, be made to her sons continuing education fund, or to Community Hospice Care.

She wished to express her gratitude and thanks to her family, and friends, Fr. Joe Szybka, Dr. Akers, Community Hospice Care and everyone that made this difficult time bearable with their prayers, love and concern.
