Obituary

Thelma E. Barrett, 93, formerly of Jackson St., Tiffin, died Wednesday evening, November 5, 2008, at Crestwood Care Center, Shelby.

June 21, 1915, she was born in Bascom, to John B. and Harriet F. (Shufelt) Luman. July 8, 1933, she married William Barrett, in Carey.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Midkiff of Norwalk, four grandchildren, Andy and Rick Midkiff, Theresa Stapleton, Barbara Cory, four great-granddaughters and a great-grandson.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband, William on June 5, 1991, are a son-in-law, Ernest Midkiff on March 3, 2008, three brothers, William, John, and Ernest Luman, four sisters, Mary L. Wise, Zetta Lambright, Ida Mizen and Dorothy Walters.

Thelma was a member of Old Trinity Episcopal Church. She worked as a sales associate at Goodwill Store, S.S. Kresge's, Newberry's and as an aide at Mercy Hospital. Thelma enjoyed fishing with her husband, puzzle books, reading, playing the organ, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her Funeral Service will be 12:00 - Noon, November 8, 2008, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family 10:00 - Noon, Saturday, November 8, 2008, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424.
